GOOGLE is planning a test of an ultrafast fiber-optic broadband Internet Service to the Home. These will be NEW fiber pulls that will deliver about 1 Gigabit/second right to your living room. That is just outrageously fast. I have a high end Comcast service of 7 Megsbits per second, which I have been very impressed. ATT and Comcast are talking about deploying 100 Megabit service sometime in the future. Pricing has not been set, but Google is talking about competitive local rates I am guessing will be lower than $100/month.
